The dichotomy…disappears…

proper selfishness

โ€œThe dichotomy between selfishness and unselfishness disappears altogether in healthy people because in principle every act is both selfish and unselfish.โ€

Abraham Maslow

Whilst I am not arguing that there are some truly selfish folks in this world, who do some truly selfish things, I believe there is a right and proper place for proper selfishness.

To prioritise oneself, in order to be the best version of you, so you can be of greatest service to others, and the Universe in general, is surely justified.
